Young Chippenham Rock band, URANIUM, are based in Wiltshire. They play their own brand of old school metal, which they refer to as “munkyfetal”.
They have played a number of local venues including the Moles Club in Bath and they played their debut festival performance in the Rock Cave at Guilfest in 2005. They played at the North Wiltshire Festival in Chippenham on the 21st July 2006. They were winners of the BOTB 2006 at the fizz bar in Chippenham.
Uranium have recently produced their first studio EP and are currently working on material for an album.
Band members are brothers Callum Merrett and Ewan Merrett, George Linacre and Shane Murphy.
